                                 “ Introducing Yourself and Others “

MAKING INTRODUCTIONS

There are two types of introduction : eiter you might introduce yourself, and possibly other people to or someone eise might introduce you.

You introduce yourself and others

When introducing yourself and someone else you always introduce yourself first. You step forward, make eye contact with the person you are introducing yourself to and hold your right hand out to shake tha hand of the person to whom you are introducing yourself.

Maybe you just stand there and don't really know how to begin when you want to introduce yourself or someone else to an English native speaker. Your intention, however, was to leave a lasting first impression at the beginning of a conversation. The following phrases will help you to introduce yourself both casually and confidently. If someone is introduced to you, you may reply "Nice to meet you" and introduce yourself afterwards.

Use this role play to practice introducing yourself. Study the verb "to be" with questions such as "Where are you from?, What's your name? Are you American? etc." to help continue the conversation with your partner.

Introductions

Zohn : Hello. My name's Zohn. What's your name?

          Ariana :  My name’s Ariana.

          Zohn :  Where are you from Ariana?

          Ariana :  I'm from Seattle. Where are you from?

          Zohn :  I'm from Madrid.

          Ariana :  Are you American?

          John :  Yes, I am. Are you Spanish?

          Ariana :  Yes I am.

Hello and Goodbye - Three Short Conversations

Hello

Ariana :  Hello, Zohn. How are you?

Zohn :  Goodbye, Ariana. See you tomorrow!

Ariana :  Bye bye, Zohn. Have a nice evening.

Zohn :  Thanks, you too!

          Ariana :  Thanks.

Introduction

“ PERSONAL DESCRIPTION “

Hello let me introduce my self, my name is Hanum Titipratiwi I used to be called Hanum, I was born in Jakarta 20 years ago exactly on November 20th, 1996. I was born in Jakarta. I am the second daughter of the family, I have an elder brother who is a long distance away 7 years from me. I live in Nilam Sari II street since I was little, my hobby is writing.

          I started my academic activities from my kindergarten level. My first school at that time was TK ISLAM MELATI, then I studied at elementary school 05 KALISARI for 6 years, after that I continued my school in junior high school 184 JAKARTA for 3 years, then I continued in vocational school BUDHI WARMAN II JAKARTA for 3 years. And up to now, I am the highest level in my academic field. I am a Gunadarma University student, the faculty of economics majoring in accounting precisely I am in the fifth semester now. Why do I choose an accounting majors? Until now I feel happy in accounting major because I see a further prospect of an accounting graduate, it is flexible if we go into accounting majors. Working in each field is okay, would be a manager, accounting staff, lecturers, teachers and auditors. Any company can we apply the job application. Private or domestic company? free please choose it. Provided, from the beginning of studying accounting must study hard, so do not just pass the accounting course. This is for academics.

          I try to describe what I know about myself, whether it's the opinion of others, or maybe my own judgment. In every person must have shortcomings, so do I. I do not like to procrastinate work, I am patient to face the lifes, and I respect others.
